4 Secrets of Every Successful Entrepreneur

Actually, there are no secrets. If someone tries telling you there are, they're lying. BUT - there are techniques, habits, priorities, and knowledge that may not be common. I've started around a half dozen businesses, a couple successful financially, most of them were a success in educating me on what to and not to do. Here are 4 ESSENTIALS that I've learned over the years:

1. Validate your business idea - This sounds way more technical than how I meant it. What I mean here is, make sure people want what you're selling. Head to Google, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and check out how often your "product" or "service" is being searched. If it's 1 million or above each month, you've got something! If it's not, try another idea OR try using different language to describe what you've got. Do your homework. Just because YOU think it's cool or it helped YOU, doesn't mean people are interested right now. ALSO - don't throw any ideas out. If no one is searching for your idea right now, save the idea for down the road. You never know when the time will be right.

2. Why are you doing this? Where is your end result? What do you want to get out of this business? - Knowing your "why, where, and what" is important. This will guide you as you make choices about your business, it will help you stay focused, and it will motivate you when things are harder than you anticipated. It will also help you as you plan your marketing. Here's my FREE digital download to help you with your social media. 3. Most of us don't get rich over night, it takes work and resilience. - Don't get me wrong, it can happen! You can have the right skills, idea, place, time, the universe aligning perfectly and BAM - you're an overnight sensation. But, if you're building your own business it's important to play the long game. But, a lot of folks get tired, frustrated, and lose sight of their end result. A truly unique person is one that remembers, when you fall down - just get right back up and keep showing up.

4. Persistence wins every time. Keep showing up and stay consistent. - Building trust is a key element to any business and trust is typically not built overnight. Showing up, again and again, with quality products and/or services, will do more for you and your brand than any fancy ad campaign ever can. Be the leader you were born to be!
